JODIE JOINS “THE BIG SPLASH” FOR SWIMATHON
The Swimathon Weekend officially launched on January the 5th with ambassadors Duncan Goodhew and Jodie Kidd who posed for cameras and talked to the press at The Oasis Sports Centre in Camden, whilst promoting what is expected to be the world's biggest swim to date! The aim of the Swimathon Weekend is to raise money for the 'Big Splash Mile for Sport Relief' and participants can take part individually or as part of a team to complete a Mile with all money raised going to two important charities Marie Curie Cancer Care and Sport Relief. Jodie Kidd said: "I'm delighted to help launch the 25th Swimathon and in such a special sporting year for this country. With all the talk of being inspired to take up exercise in 2012, it's
events like this that give us all that (sometimes necessary) goal to aim for”.

During the in depth interviews, Freddie confronts his own issues which faced him whilst Captain of England; under pressure and under fire at the top of his game. Freddie also reveals the stigma attached to talking about depression in the face of an often unforgiving public. He also discovers that many suffer in silence or hide behind irresponsible behavior, until it becomes all too much. The film includes moving interviews with Steve Harrison, Vinnie Jones, Ricky Hatton and a host of sporting heros. We hear form journalist Piers Morgan, coaches and managers about his hidden side of sport. The documentary aired on BBC1 on Wednesday the 11th of January at 22.45  and can be viewed on the BBC Iplayer.

JODIE KIDD’S OBJECT OF DESIRE
January 2012 sees Jodie Kidd feature in an episode of a new 6-part series on Sky Arts, presented by Mariella Frostrup called “Objects of Desire”. The idea behind the series is to illustrate the most impressive objects on the planet; whether it is a car, a chair, a musical instrument or a bracelet. The programme aims to attempt to work out what makes the featured item so special. Jodie is seen racing an Aston Martin DB5 as her selected object of desire at Goodwood.
